Writer's Workshop
For an hour daily, we have so much fun writing. We are learning about how to write a persuasive essay. The students will try to convince their audience to agree with an opinion or to take action. Ask your child about the topic they chose. I was very impressed with the depth of their choices. They didn't select topics such as "why we should get longer recess" or "why we shouldn't have school". But topics from their heart! The will have to develop supporting details from research that they have found.I can't wait as we develop these in the next few weeks.
