Reading
Reading: The classroom reading center is packed with exciting novels for students to enjoy independently. We are continuing with "The Sign of the Beaver" in our reading center. Students read at their own pace. After reading, they are to complete comprehension questions. We have the story on CD, so students are able to listen as the story is dramatically read and all the sound effects included! Of course, they have their own set of headphones, as they are taken into another world!

Readers: Parents visiting our classroom on Fridays at 1:30-2:10 to read aloud to the class "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" by C.S Lewis.
When we finish reading the book, we will celebrate with a book party at Mrs. Middleton's house. We will have pizza, cokes, popcorn and watch the movie. On the following Monday, we will complete a Venn diagram comparing/contrasting the movie and the book.
